He was highly respected by all who knew him, and during the last 10 or 12 years had lost the use of his sight.

Longevity is no uncommon thing in deceased's family, one of her relations having died at a very advanced age. Deceased was formerly of the Hambletonian Inn, her husband having the honour of giving the title to that

well known house of entertainment.

On the 27th inst., at Malton, Jane, the beloved wife of James METCALF, Esq. aged 73.

 

On the 26th inst., at Norton, Elizabeth, relict of the late Jas. MARSHALL, formerly of Langton, and eldest daughter of the late Mr Matthew PARKER, of Great Habton, aged 37.

Same day at Pickering, Mrs Isabella COOPER, the wife of Mr Johnathon COOPER, after a long illness, at a very advanced age.

Same day and place, Mrs COATES, wife of Mr Richard COATES, she died of cancer, in the prime of her life, leaving five small children to mourn her loss.
